कर्णामृतं सूक्तिरसं विमुच्य दोषेषु यत्नः सुमहान् खलानाम्।
निरीक्षते केलिवनं प्रविश्य क्रमेलकः कण्टकजालमेव।।
अर्थात् --
कान के लिए अमृत स्वरूप सूक्ति(/उत्तम वाक्यों जैसे) रसको छोड़कर बड़े बड़े दुर्जनों का प्रयास दोष निकालने में रहता है। आमोददायक वन में प्रवेश कर ऊँट काण्टेवाले पौधों को ही निरीक्षण करता है।
Meaning --
Wicked people always try to find fault leaving the essence of good sayings which are nectar for ear. Just like a camel looks only the thorny bushes entering into a sportive place .
