सुभाषितम् (NOBLE THOUGHTS)

अपृष्टोऽपि हितं व्रूयात् यस्य नेच्छेत् पराभवम्।

एष एव सतां धर्मो विपरीत मतोऽन्यथा॥

अर्थात् -

        जिसका पराजय नहीं चाहते होंगे वो न पुछने पर भी उसको हितकर(अच्छा) परामर्श देना सज्जनों का कर्तव्य है। असज्जन इसका विपरीत आचरण करते हैं॥

Meaning - 

            If you don't want failure or defeat of  anyone, without asking of that person advising beneficially is the righteousness or duty of learned persons. But dishonorable persons behave oppositely.

 विपत्तौ किं विषादेन संपत्तौ हर्षणेन किं

भवितव्यं भवत्येव कर्मणो गहना गतिः।
अर्थात्,
        विपन्नावस्था में दुःखी तथा संपदा में आनन्दित होना निष्प्रयोजन। जो होनेवाला है वो  होता ही है। कर्म का गति  दुर्वोध्य (समझना  कठीन) है।

 Meaning -  

          There is no need to be sad in troubles and happy in prosperity. It surely happens what is going to be. It is hard to understand the movement of Karma.

सुभाषितम् (NOBLE THOUGHT)

 अजीर्णे भेषजं वारि जीर्णे वारि बलप्रदम्

अमृतं भोजनार्धे तु भुक्तस्योपरि तद् विषम्।

अर्थात्,

   अजीर्ण में जल औषधि स्वरूप  है। खाद्य जीर्ण होने के बाद जल पीना बलदायक है। भोजन के मध्य अर्थात आधा भोजन करने के बाद जल पीना अमृत जैसा काम करता है। किन्तु भोजन करने के बाद तुरंत जल पीना विष सदृश है।

 

 Meaning -

          For indigestion, water works as medicine. Drinking water after digestion of food is energetic. Water works as nectar if it is taken during meal, but drinking water right after eating works like poison.
