ग्रीष्मबर्जेषु कालेषु दिवा स्वापो निषिद्ध्यते।
उचितो हि दिवा स्वापो यतोनित्यः शरीरिणाम्।।
अर्थात्,
मनुष्यों का निद्रा दैनन्दिन कर्तव्य है। परन्तु ग्रीष्मकाल को छोड़कर अन्य समय में दिन में सोना निषिद्ध है।
Meaning --
Sleeping is the daily routine of human beings. But sleeping in the day time is forbidden except in the days of Summer.
